I hope this helps some people who are constantly asking questions about this glitch and how it works. I talked with another person who had over 1,000 kills by the end of a round. I talked with one of the founders of the glitch tonight who played 5 back-to-back 1-hour matches last night with no kill limits, etc. When you get 12+ people it literally just becomes almost a 100% run-and-gun type game but not always - it can be very strategic and quite the opposite. It is really annoying when it keeps making CTF games (to me at least) but it's still fun. It's still rumored some maps don't work (I heard) but I don't know if I believe this but it is certainly possible. The only thing that seems consistant is the map you choose. Lag - Obviously you need a good connection to host 8 or more players but the good news is that it seems 1 Mbit upload connections can host 8-16 player matches most all of the time Sometimes the kill-limits and time-limits aren't what you set them to eitherĪt least for the time being (if not forever - it is unknown at this time), you have to accept a request for a glitched-game ASAP or else you will NOT get in (and even sometimes when you do accept ASAP you still won't) It really seems to like Capture the Flag for some reason Sometimes it likes to start the game as a different gametype than you selected. Since this is a glitch/bug, this and other issues are to be expected, however. Some problems have already been brought up - how sometimes it will let you join past 8 players, other times not. One more thing - If a match past 8 players is in progress and your friend is in the match (whether there's 10, 12, 14, whatever amount of players past 8, they cannot send you an invite and get you in (from all of my experience) nor can you go to their profile on your buddy list and join - the "Join Game" or whatever will be grayed-out. Maybe sometimes they can and sometimes they can't - who knows, but if they accept it when there's 8 people in the lobby then there's no chance they can get into that game even after it's in progress unless for some reason it gets down to less than 8 persons. I have never been able to do this myself, but supposidly they can because I have seen it many times. These people also have to accept the invite BEFORE the lobby on your screen fills up to 8 people.īut if they wait and accept it AFTER the match starts, supposidly it will let them in.
The only way to get more than 8 players in your match is to send out as many invites as you can once your glitch-set-up lobby is opened. For some reason in these glitch setup games, they seem to fill up extremely fast with players. It has the capacity to hold and show 16 as I'm sure you've noticed. The lobby you are in can only show 8 physical gamertags. H O W T O G E T M O R E T H A N 8 P E O P L EĪlthough this is both annoying and a bug/glitch in itself (if you will), there are others, too which I will get into in the next section. *** Congratulations, but READ ON OR YOU MAY BE DISAPPOINTED because there are some other problems and hurdles to overcome.
Your custom-made game via the glitch is setup. Ignore this and push 'B' to take it off the screen.Ĥ - You should immediately find yourself in an "Xbox Live Lobby" with your name at the top, meaning you're the host. I use "Smash TV" or "Guantlet" from the Live Arcade, for example.ģ - When you get the game invite, don't accept it - select 'no.' What will happen is a blade on the left side of the screen with your friends will popup immediately. 1 - You simply load CoD2, go to Multiplayer, go to System Link, and set whatever parameters you like (time limits, the map you want to play on, friendly fire, etc.) Then stay there at that screen after you've set those settings.Ģ - Have someone on your friends list send you a game invite for something other than CoD2.
